Effective date 2 November 2026
1 Who we are and what this policy covers
1.1 VAUVE LIFE PRIVATE LIMITED operates Vauve Life. In this policy, “Vauve Life”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company. We are responsible for the personal information we handle in providing the Vauve Life apps, the website at www.vauve.life, membership services, offer redemptions, referrals, ratings and customer support. This policy also covers personal information supplied by merchant representatives in their business dealings with us.
1.2 Our address is 304, B Wing, Vimlachal Apartment, Ramchandra Lane Evershine, Malad West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400064, India. Our Grievance Officer is Sam Fernandes, Director. You can contact him about privacy, your information or a complaint at info@vauve.life or at the postal address above.
1.3 “Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It includes account-linked membership, payment, redemption and support records. Removing a name or replacing it with an account number does not by itself make information anonymous.
1.4 This policy explains our information practices. It does not replace a notice, permission or consent required for a particular use. Our Terms and Conditions and Cancellation and Refund Policy explain the membership contract, future billing and refunds. They do not limit your mandatory privacy rights.
2 Information we collect and where it comes from
2.1 Account information. When you register, we collect your full name and Indian mobile number. Email is optional. We use an SMS one-time password to verify your number and sign you in. The current registration process does not request your date of birth or use Google or Apple account sign-in. Authentication records are personal information even where they contain no name.
2.2 Membership and payment records. We handle records of your trial or paid membership, access period, referral attribution and rewards, extensions, renewal, payment status and transaction references, cancellation and refunds. These records arise when you use the service or are received from the payment provider to administer your transaction. Information you enter in a Razorpay payment flow is handled by Razorpay and the relevant payment participants. The membership transaction records we receive are distinct from payment credentials you provide to those participants.
2.3 Redemptions and savings. We handle records of the merchant and offer concerned, coupons and redemptions, the bill amount entered for the redemption, and estimated savings. The entered amount is before discount, includes tax and excludes tips. We use it to record the transaction and estimate savings; entering it does not pay the merchant. A redemption at a health-related provider may reveal information about health even if no medical record is uploaded.
2.4 Profile photograph and reviews. A profile photograph is optional. We collect the single photograph you choose to supply for your profile; we do not collect other photographs from your library or access your contacts. We also collect the star ratings and written comments you submit on merchant pages and associate them with your account and the relevant merchant. Section 6 explains when your name, review and profile photograph are visible to others.
2.5 Correspondence and requests. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We also handle the information reasonably needed to investigate your enquiry, complaint, correction, cancellation or privacy request, including relevant service records and information supplied by the merchant or payment provider. Please do not send login codes, merchant PINs, full card numbers, medical records or another person's information unless genuinely necessary for the issue.
2.6 Device and delivery information. We handle the device model and operating system and version used to access the app for compatibility and service operation. Authentication and notification delivery also involve the account or app-installation information needed to authenticate a request or deliver a message. This may include a push-notification delivery token and delivery status. These service records are separate from advertising identifiers. We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services or collect advertising data.
2.7 Approximate location. With your permission, we use your approximate device location to show offers and merchants near you and in your city, recommend nearby stores, send nearby-store notifications and help you navigate to a merchant you select. Precise GPS location is not required. The app uses location while in use and, if you separately enable the background feature, may access approximate location when the app is closed or not in use to provide nearby-store recommendations and notifications. We do not retain a history of your device locations or movements. Merchant locations recorded in your redemption history are separate service records and may indicate where you redeemed an offer.
2.8 Behaviour and preferences. We collect information about your interactions with offers and categories in the app, the offers you redeem, the locations of those merchants and your expressed or inferred category preferences. We use these inputs in Vauve Life's recommendation algorithm to personalise the offers and merchants shown to you. This is behavioural processing within our service even though we do not use a separate analytics service. We do not send this information to third-party AI services.
2.9 Guest use. Guests can browse without supplying a name, mobile number or email. Guest browsing does not require registration. Device permissions and any optional collection are subject to the choices described in section 4; guest status is not permission to collect information without the required notice or consent.
2.10 Merchant representatives. We collect the personal business-contact details, offer information and correspondence that merchant representatives supply to administer participation and resolve enquiries. Business-contact details remain personal information when they identify an individual.
3 How we use information
3.1 Providing the service. We use the information relevant to the requested function to verify your mobile number; establish and administer your account; provide membership, trial and referral benefits; record access and extensions; administer renewal; reconcile membership payments and refunds; issue and record coupons and redemptions; calculate estimated savings; process and display ratings; and respond to enquiries and requests. Merchant representative information is used to administer the merchant relationship and offer information.
3.2 Security and disputes. Where an actual security concern, suspected misuse, payment dispute or complaint requires investigation, we use the records reasonably needed to understand and resolve that issue. We may preserve relevant evidence to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. These purposes do not authorise unrelated advertising, unlimited monitoring or retention of every account record.
3.3 Legal obligations. We use and retain the information necessary to comply with binding tax, accounting, cybersecurity, lawful-disclosure and other legal requirements. Information held for one of those requirements is restricted to the relevant purpose.
3.4 Recommendations and communications. We use the behaviour and preference information described in section 2.8 to make recommendations within Vauve Life. Approximate location makes nearby results and recommendations relevant to you. Notifications concern membership and service matters or, where you choose to receive them, nearby-store recommendations. We do not treat registration, buying membership or accepting the Terms as blanket consent for optional processing.
3.5 Advertising and onward use. We do not sell personal information, use your information for advertising, collect advertising data or share your information with third-party AI services. Our own recommendations about participating merchants are distinct from advertising-network use or sharing for another company's advertising. We do not authorise providers to repurpose information received from us for those activities. Nearby-store recommendations remain optional promotional communications even though we do not use advertising networks.
3.6 Sensitive inferences. We limit the use of information that reveals or reasonably allows an inference about health or other sensitive matters. A health-related redemption does not authorise unrelated profiling, disclosure or promotional use of that information. Any sensitive processing requires the notice, lawful basis and specific consent applicable to that use.
4 Consent and your choices
4.1 We provide the information and obtain the consent or other lawful authorisation required for the processing concerned. Where consent is required, we ask before that processing starts. A permission prompt or a link to this policy does not replace a separate, prominent explanation where the processing requires one.
4.2 Optional information and permissions are distinguished from what is necessary to provide a requested function. You may decline optional email and optional uses without losing membership merely for that reason. If information is necessary to authenticate your account, fulfil a transaction or provide a specific feature, we explain the consequence of not providing it.
4.3 You can withdraw consent for processing that depends on it through the control provided for that use or by writing to info@vauve.life. Where the processing uses a device permission, you can also change that permission in your device settings. Withdrawal applies to the processing concerned; it does not retrospectively invalidate earlier lawful processing or remove a legal obligation to retain a limited record. We explain any resulting feature limitation.
4.4 An SMS login code or a service message is not permission to send unrelated promotions. Verification, payment, security and complaint communications use the information needed for the relevant service or legal notice. Where optional promotional messages are offered, the notice and preference control must identify that use separately.
4.5 Location. We request location access in the context of the location-based feature. Foreground access does not constitute permission for background access. Background location requires a separate explanation and the applicable device permission before it begins. You can refuse it or change the permission in device settings. Declining background access does not remove your membership; nearby results cannot update from your background location while access is off. If location is declined entirely, features that depend on your current location cannot use it, but you can continue to browse the available offers.
4.6 Notifications and personalisation. We request device notification permission before sending notifications that require it. You can turn notifications off in your device settings and ask us at info@vauve.life to stop optional nearby-store messages or withdraw consent to behavioural personalisation. Essential account and transaction processing is separate from optional promotion. Turning off push notifications does not prevent us from providing necessary service or legal information through an available contact channel. A request to stop optional personalisation applies to the relevant preference profile as well as future use of the underlying behaviour for that purpose, subject to any limited lawful retention.
5 Who receives information
5.1 Service providers. The following providers support the documented service. We limit disclosures to what is needed for the relevant function.
| Recipient | Information and purpose |
|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosts the backend and database used to provide the app and store the relevant account and service records. The primary app database is in Mumbai, India. |
| Twilio and telecommunications providers | Process the destination mobile number and verification-message and delivery information to provide SMS verification. |
| Razorpay and payment participants | Process membership payments and refunds. We exchange the transaction information necessary to administer and reconcile those payments and refunds. |
| Notification delivery services | Process the app-installation delivery information, message content and delivery status necessary to send a notification through your device platform. Device permission and the relevant messaging choices apply. |
5.2 Provider safeguards. We require third parties with whom we share app user data to provide the same or an equal level of protection as this policy and the applicable Apple and Google privacy requirements. Providers acting on our instructions must process information only for the authorised service, protect its confidentiality and security, restrict access and onward processing, and assist with applicable deletion and rights requests. A provider's own legal duties may apply to particular payment, telecommunications or security records; those duties do not permit unrelated use of information received from us.
5.3 You can read AWS data privacy information, Twilio's privacy notice and Razorpay's privacy policy. These notices explain those providers' own practices. They do not replace our notice or remove our responsibility for information under our control.
5.4 Merchants. Merchants do not receive access to your private Vauve Life account information, contact details, membership records, location or redemption history. They can see the public review information described in section 6 when you choose to post on their page. During in-person redemption, staff also see the verification and coupon information you present on your device and handle their own bill. That interaction does not give them access to the private information held in your account.
5.5 Professional advisers and authorities. We may disclose the information reasonably necessary to an adviser handling a specific accounting matter, audit or legal claim, subject to applicable confidentiality obligations. We disclose information to competent authorities where required or otherwise lawfully permitted, after assessing the request and the applicable legal conditions. An allegation alone does not entitle a complainant to another user's identity or records.
5.6 Business changes. A proposed merger, reorganisation or business transfer may require limited access to or transfer of relevant information. Any such disclosure must have a lawful basis, be appropriately protected and be accompanied by the notice or consent required by law. It does not automatically permit a new owner to use information for an unrelated purpose.
5.7 Separate merchant and external activities. Merchants are responsible for information they obtain directly in providing their own goods or services. Other websites or services you choose to visit have their own practices. We remain responsible for our own disclosures and handling of your information.
5.8 Directions. When you choose navigation to a merchant, the directions function uses the selected destination and the location permitted for that function. If you open a separate maps service, that service handles the information supplied to it under its own notice and device permissions. Review those controls before sharing further information. Choosing directions does not give a merchant access to your device location.
6 Ratings and public information
6.1 When you post a review on a merchant page, your name, star rating, written comments and profile photograph, if you supplied one, are visible to that merchant and other users viewing the page. The rating may also contribute to the merchant's overall rating. Your profile photograph is otherwise visible only to you within the app. Your mobile number, optional email address, payment information, location and private support correspondence are not displayed with a review.
6.2 You can edit or delete your review whenever you wish through the review controls. Contact info@vauve.life if you need assistance or believe information has been disclosed incorrectly. When we delete your account, we also remove associated personal review and profile-photograph information, subject only to a specific lawful retention requirement explained to you. A genuinely anonymous aggregate may remain only where it can no longer reasonably identify or be linked to you. A retained account identifier is not an anonymous aggregate.
6.3 Other people may see or record information you intentionally make public. This does not waive our responsibilities for the information we publish or turn a support message into permission to publish a testimonial.
7 The informational website
7.1 The informational website does not use cookies, browser local storage, analytics, forms or embedded third-party services. Its hosting and delivery providers necessarily process the network information needed to respond to a request, including the requesting network address and requested resource. Any security records must be limited to the relevant security or legal purpose and the retention rules in section 9. The absence of analytics does not mean that a website can be delivered without processing a network address.
7.2 If you use a published email link, the message is handled by the email services involved and supplies us with the information you send. It is not a website form submission.
8 Processing locations and international transfers
8.1 The primary app database is hosted in AWS Mumbai, India. Authorised Vauve Life employees access information for their work from our offices in Mumbai and mainland Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Access from Dubai is processing outside India even when the database remains in Mumbai. We limit such access to the information needed for the employee's role and apply confidentiality and security requirements.
8.2 The providers described in section 5 may process information through their service infrastructure and authorised subprocessors. The primary database location is not a promise that every payment, SMS, notification or support operation takes place in India. We assess the processing and transfer arrangements applicable to each service rather than treating a provider's public notice as evidence of India-only processing.
8.3 A transfer of sensitive personal information must meet the applicable Indian requirements, including the required level of protection and the relevant necessity or consent condition. Other cross-border processing must also comply with the law and restrictions applicable to the information and activity. Accepting this policy does not replace a required safeguard or permit a prohibited transfer. You can ask info@vauve.life about the arrangements applicable to your information.
9 How long we keep information
9.1 We retain personal information for the purpose for which it was collected and for a longer period only where a specific lawful requirement or justified, limited need applies. We consider the record's purpose, sensitivity, applicable law and whether the purpose can be met with less information. Different records have different periods; keeping a tax record does not require keeping every profile, rating or redemption detail.
| Record category | Retention and deletion rule |
|---|---|
| Account profile, photograph, membership, referral, redemption and recommendation records | Keep while needed to operate your account and the relevant function. Confirmed in-app deletion removes these records from our active account backend immediately, subject to the limited legal records below. Withdrawn optional uses stop as described in section 4. |
| Device location | Use for the permitted location-based function. We do not retain a history of device locations or movements. This does not erase a merchant location recorded as part of a redemption. |
| Public reviews | Keep while the review remains published. Remove the review when you delete it or your account, subject to a specific lawful preservation requirement. |
| Support correspondence and privacy requests | Keep while needed to handle the request and any related dispute or mandatory compliance record. Any further retention is limited to the relevant legal duty or claim and ends when that need and the applicable period end. |
| Membership invoices, books and supporting transaction records | Retain the records required by applicable accounting and tax law. Applicable GST records are generally retained for 72 months from the relevant annual-return due date; company books and relevant vouchers are generally kept for at least the eight financial years immediately preceding a financial year, or the company's shorter existence. Where several requirements apply, the affected records are kept for the longest applicable mandatory period, including a legally required longer hold. |
| Required cybersecurity logs | Retain applicable ICT system logs securely for the legally required rolling period of 180 days within India. A valid preservation requirement may require the relevant records to be held longer. This is not a reason to keep unrelated profile or movement information. |
| Records held by a provider under its own legal duties | The provider may retain limited payment, telecommunications or security records for the period required by its applicable obligations. Those records do not keep your Vauve Life account active. |
9.2 Where a dispute, investigation or legal preservation duty requires a longer hold, we restrict retention to the relevant information and purpose, review the need and delete it when that need and the mandatory period end. Retained information is not available for unrelated marketing or ordinary account use.
9.3 Deletion includes information held by providers on our behalf. We instruct them to delete the relevant information or apply the same justified retention restriction. Where a provider must keep a record under its own legal duty, that limited retention is separate from keeping your Vauve Life account active. Account deletion does not leave the deleted profile or history available for ordinary account use. Any restricted copy required by law remains subject to the same purpose and retention limits; it must not restore erased information to ordinary account use.
10 Deleting your account and associated information
10.1 In the app. Sign in, open your Profile, scroll down to Delete Account beside Log out, and confirm the deletion prompt. Confirmation immediately deletes the account and its associated information from our active account backend and ends access through that account. This includes the profile photograph, reviews and recommendation profile, subject to the limited lawful retention explained in section 9. It is not merely suspension or deactivation. A proportionate identity or confirmation check may protect you from an unauthorised request.
10.2 Without access to the app. You can request deletion by emailing info@vauve.life with the subject “Vauve Life account deletion”. Give us the mobile number associated with the account so we can identify it. Do not include a login code, merchant PIN, full payment details or unnecessary identity documents. We will use a proportionate check to verify that the request concerns your account. You do not need to reinstall the app to use this route.
10.3 In-app deletion takes effect in the active account backend when you confirm it. For an email request, we first verify the requester's authority and then process deletion without undue delay. We explain the expected completion time when acknowledging the request and confirm completion or an applicable lawful restriction. The immediate backend action does not represent that a payment provider's independent legal record or a mandatory accounting or security record is erased instantly. If a lawful exception affects part of a request, it does not justify retaining unrelated information.
10.4 Membership and billing. Account deletion ends access through that account. Uninstalling the app, ending future renewal and deleting an account are different actions. Deletion does not by itself prove that a bank or payment-provider mandate has been revoked. The deletion process must explain how any active renewal is handled and provide assistance with stopping it. You can contact info@vauve.life about a continuing charge, an existing complaint or a refund request. Deletion does not waive a valid refund or other mandatory remedy. A remaining paid period must not prevent you from initiating deletion.
11 Access correction withdrawal and complaints
11.1 Write to info@vauve.life to ask about information concerning you, seek access to or correction of information you supplied, withdraw consent where the processing depends on it, or raise a privacy complaint. Section 10 explains account deletion. Tell us what you need and provide only the information reasonably necessary to locate the relevant account or interaction.
11.2 We may verify your identity or a representative's authority through proportionate means. We do not require unrelated sensitive documents to obstruct a request. If we cannot fulfil part of a request, we explain the reason, subject to any lawful confidentiality or security restriction.
11.3 We acknowledge and address requests within the period applicable to the matter. Privacy grievances covered by the Information Technology sensitive personal data rules are redressed expeditiously and within one month of receipt. Any shorter mandatory period applies where required. We communicate our response and the available next steps.
11.4 Additional statutory rights apply when and to the extent the relevant law is in force and applies to the request. These may include a processing and sharing summary, erasure and nomination of a person to exercise rights in the circumstances specified by law. Requests can be sent to the same contact. Nothing in this policy restricts access to a competent regulator, court, consumer commission or other legally available remedy.
12 Adults and information about other people
12.1 Registration, trials and paid membership are for people aged 18 or over. We do not collect dates of birth in ordinary registration and do not represent this as verified age assurance. If you believe a child has registered or that we have received a child's information improperly, contact info@vauve.life. We will assess the information, restrict ineligible access and take the deletion, protection or other action required by the applicable law.
12.2 Do not provide another person's personal information without appropriate authority or provide unnecessary sensitive information. We assess information received from a merchant or in a complaint according to its purpose and sensitivity. An adult-only membership rule does not remove duties that apply to information about children or other people.
13 Security and incidents
13.1 We protect information through technical and organisational measures appropriate to its sensitivity and the risks of processing. These include modern encrypted transmission for personal information, authentication for account access, restrictions on employee and provider access according to their roles, and procedures for handling deletion requests and security incidents. Access for support or administration is limited to authorised work. Providers processing information for us are subject to the protections described in section 5.2.
13.2 No online service can guarantee absolute security. This does not reduce our required standard of care. If an incident affects personal information, we assess and contain it, preserve necessary evidence and notify affected people or competent authorities where and within the periods required by applicable law. Report suspected misuse to info@vauve.life without sending verification secrets.
14 Changes and contact
14.1 We identify the effective date of this policy and communicate material changes to affected users as required. Before introducing a materially different category, purpose, recipient or tracking practice, we provide the necessary notice and obtain any required consent or other lawful authorisation. Publishing an updated policy or continuing to use the app is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.
14.2 For questions, rights requests or complaints, contact the privacy grievance officer identified in section 1.2 at info@vauve.life or the postal address in that section. Please identify the relevant account or interaction and the action you would like us to take.
